Subjects Taught
Fourth Grade

My education to become an educator came from the University of South Alabama.  From this institute,  I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1983 and then a Master's degree in Elementary Education in 1993.

My 34 years of teaching experience are all tied into and around the Fourth Grade in the Grand Bay community.

As a little girl, my mom watched me simulate and orchestrate teaching.  My simple chalk board and stuffed animals were my classroom.  My mom knew I was a teacher at heart.  Teaching has always been everything to me, and even all these years later, I still get the same twinge of excitement about a new year, with new faces, with new possibilities.

I have two sons, Stuart(age 26), who attended Castlen, and Miles(age 18), who attended Breitling.  Stuart resides in Houston, Tx , and Miles is coaching archery and pursuing a business degree.  I am proud to be their mom.

Romantic novels, theatre, a big tub of popcorn at the movies, the beach scene, long drives with Bama and Layla (the dogs), singing with the music loud, raising chickens, a nap whenever, The Olive Garden atmosphere, a bonfire on a chilly night, the magic of holidays, and being still to drink a cup of coffee with Coach Richardson, are a few of my favorite things.

Retirement is hard to imagine......and even though I do have a love for imagining.....I just can't quite picture it .....yet......
