Undergraduate and Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Alabama

I began my teaching career at Castlen Elementary teaching kindergarten.  I taught there for ten years until Breitling Elementary was built.  I was fortunate to become a kindergarten teacher here.  I stayed in kindergarten for three years and was then transferred to second grade.  I taught second grade for seven years before I was given the opportunity to become the reading intervention/Title 1 facilitator.  I feel that this job allows me the opportunity to work with those children which need help the most.

I attended the University of South Alabama for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Early Childhood Education.

My favorite past times are kayaking, traveling, and reading.  I have enjoyed traveling this summer while reading some of my favorite books.  I am currently reading The Noticer Returns by Andy Andrews. This book is a good reminder that even the simplest actions you take can make a big difference in the world.
