Mrs. Simm earned her BA degree from Ole Miss with a double major in Spanish and Psychology. She then completed bachelors level coursework in Communication Disorders and went on to receive her Masters degree from The University of Alabama in Speech Language Pathology. She has a State of Alabama license to practice as an SLP, and she was awarded her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.



Mrs. Simm has worked in the field of Special Education for almost 20 years. She has worked in a variety of roles including teacher, administrator, and speech therapist. Mrs. Simm has worked with children from ages 2.5-21 in both inclusive and self-contained settings. She has presented at a variety of conferences and workshops on topics including Behavior Management and Communication. Mrs. Simm is at Breitling 4 days a week and serves as one of the MCPSS's Assistive Technology Consultants 1 day a week.
